Do I need to know any Mandarin before joining?
No. The course is designed for adult beginners, including learners who are starting from zero.
Do I need to learn Chinese characters?
The main focus is practical listening and speaking. Pinyin and pronunciation are introduced to help you speak accurately. If you would like to learn Chinese characters, separate reading and writing classes can be arranged.
What if I miss a class?
For online classes, class recordings are available so you can review the lesson and catch up more easily if you miss a session.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is suitable for working adults, university or college students, retirees, and any adults who are interested in learning practical Mandarin.
How many students are there in each class?
Each class has a maximum of 10–15 learners, allowing students to practise speaking and receive teacher guidance in a comfortable group setting.
Which platform is used for the online classes?
Online classes are conducted live through Zoom Workplace. You can join using a computer, tablet or smartphone with a stable internet connection.
Do you offer physical classes?

Do you have weekend classes?

Will I receive learning materials?
Yes. Online learners will receive an e-learning book, while physical-class learners will receive a printed learning book. Learners will also have access to a WhatsApp Learning Community for class support and communication.
